About Kate Litt

Kate Litt is a WordPress nerd. A home educating, tech-obsessed introvert, who can usually be found within arms length of her MacBook Pro.

She’s also a rainbow haired, serial entrepreneur, with a glitter and David Bowie obsession.

My Story

How I Got Started

Never one to follow the crowd, Kate Litt has paved her own way through the business world. After battling mental health issues and bankruptcy, she found herself a lone parent before her son had even entered the world.

Determined to do the best for him, she used her graphic design and networking skills to develop The Vintage Directory, an online and printed directory, with 10,000 copies distributed nationwide every quarter. She then founded The National Vintage Awards, the first national event of its kind, running the business as a team of one, devising and creating everything from the branding, to the website and the running of the glamorous award ceremonies themselves.

As other small business owners began to request for help with their own branding and website design, Kate soon realised that this was where her passion lay.

Today, Kate builds design-led WordPress websites for creative women in business, empowering them to take control of technology within their business.

She is a certified WordPress Consultant and will graduate with a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing in 2020.

Kate Litt is a regular contributor to women’s business groups and small business events, sharing her WordPress expertise and experience as a women in tech. She will make her first speaking appearance at the Women in Business Expo in 2019, with a guest spot on the Women in Tech panel.

Kate Litt lives in Birmingham, working from her home office with partner Martin, home educating her two children and being harassed by her three cats.

She doesn’t get out much.

"Can't thank Kate enough for the fantastic job she's done on my website and branding. I never thought my website could look so kick ass she's blown my mind!!! Nothing was too much trouble and she really took my ideas and made them come to life. Thank you, thank you, thank you Kate."

"Firstly thank you so much for what you have done for our new web site [the Lily Pad Florist]. We are really pleased with the result. As someone who used to work in the IS/IT sector it has been a pleasure to work with a supplier who, whilst technically proficient, also has her feet in the real world, not baffling us with a load of techie jargon, whilst getting on with the solution we were after, not chucking responsibility back at us or forcing something on us that we didn’t want."

"Kate just somehow gets you and what you want quickly. Her designs are well thougt out and seem to reflect what was in your mind but you didn’t know how to verbalise or put into pictures! Highly recommend her."
